His Family Served in Congress For 70 Years, Here is How Caste Bias Congress has Rewarded this Leader..

Senior Congress leader Ashok Chaudhary, who was ousted from the party on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress party. He alleged that he was removed unceremoniously from the post and was being targeted for his caste. Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday relieved Ashok Choudhary from his post as Bihar PCC chief with immediate effect.

He said, ‘CP Joshi has played his cards very well and somehow managed to convince the Congress high command, Rahulji and Soniaji, that I am involved in splitting the party, thus the decision was taken. I was ready to quit and resign and till now have not received a call from CP Joshi informing me that I have been removed.

He said My father and I have served 70 years in the Congress party, do I deserve such an exit? Have I not worked hard for the party in the last four and a half years? The general secretary has put out this conspiracy against me.

On being questioned if he feels the CP Joshi misled the Congress high command, ‘When the Mahagathbandhan was crumbling, no one from the Congress turned up. Was the Mahagathbandhan made by the Congress party of Ashok Chaudhary? Why was there no effort to save it?’ He said that this shows that “the Congress leaders are allying with Laloo Yadav even though he terms the Congress leaders as ‘Chirkuts’.”

He added that he along with the MLAs had apprised the Congress high command on disassociating themselves with RJD Supreme Lalu Yadav. Lastly, when asked if he will be joining Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary said that he has not made any decision yet but added that he has maintained cordial relations with Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar has given a lot of importance and patience to me’, he said.According to reports, a rebellion has been brewing in the state ever since Chief Minister Nitish Kumar broke the grand alliance and joined hands with the BJP to form a new government in the state.

Not too long ago, Chaudhary accused “some” AICC leaders of fuelling a rebellion against him with the “false propaganda” that he was making attempts to split the party, in Patna. The removal came amid reports that the party high command was unhappy with him and leaders of his faction when they had allegedly made an abortive bid to split the party after Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) walked out of the Grand Alliance (GA) and formed the government with the BJP-led coalition in the state.

As many as 14 MLAs and a few MLCs were said to be in the mood of rebellion and wanted to desert the party en-mass, which prompted the party high command to send senior leaders including Jyotiraditya Scindia to foil the bid. Later they were also called in by AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi in Delhi at separate occasions to explain on their reported bid to desert the party.

Choudhary did not attend these meetings Sources in the AICC said the new president might be named soon after Rahul Gandhi returned to New Delhi after his ongoing phase of Gujarat tour. Even otherwise, the new committee would be in place by October 15, as per the schedule of ongoing organisational polls.
