The mainstream media has tried to make President Donald Trump look crazy for his 2011 claim that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fake and that the former president was actually born in Kenya. However, a new poll came out indicating that many Americans actually agree with Trump on this one.
Newsweek reported that a new survey just revealed that 51 percent of Republicans said they think Obama was born in Kenya. Surprisingly, 14 percent of Democrats also think that Obama was born in the African nation.
In addition, 57 percent of people who voted for Trump in the 2016 election said it was “definitely true” or “probably true” that the 44th president came from Kenya.
In 2011, even Obama himself mocked Trump for his birther claims at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
“Donald Trump is here tonight!” Obama said. “Now, I know that he’s taken some flak lately, but no one is happier, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than the Donald. And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter—like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”
This comes after WND reported that former Hawaii elections clerk Tim Adam signed an affidavit swearing that he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Obama in the state and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi’olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities.
Adams was employed as a senior elections clerk at the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division from May of 2008 through September of 2008. In this position, he oversaw a group of 50 to 60 employees responsible for verifying the identity of voters at the Absentee Ballot Office, which is how he became aware of the search for Obama’s birth-certificate records.
“During the course of my employment,” Adams swears in the affidavit (viewable in full as part 1 and part 2), “I became aware that many requests were being made to the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division, the Hawaii Office of Elections, and the Hawaii Department of Health from around the country to obtain a copy of then-Senator Barack Obama’s long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate.”
When Allen asked his supervisors about Obama’s birth certificate, they told him that the records were not on file at the Hawaii Department of Health.
“Senior officers in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division told me on multiple occasions that no Hawaii long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Senator Obama in the Hawaii Department of Health,” Adams’ affidavit reads, “and there was no record that any such document had ever been on file in the Hawaii Department of Health or any other branch or department of the Hawaii government.”
